August 2011: New CycleBeads Integration Guide for US-based programs introduced. The Institute for Reproductive Health, in collaboration with the Center for Health Training and JSI Research and Training Institute, launched the CycleBeads® Integration Guide, a resource designed for U.S.-based family planning programs who wish to integrate the Standard Days Method®, used with CycleBeads, into their services.The guide was funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Population Affairs. The International Family Planning Perspectives on The Standard Days Method, December 2003
The article, "The Standard Days Method of Family Planning: A Response to Cairo", views this simple natural method of family planning and the tool CycleBeads as an approach that can address key issues as identified at the Cairo International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD). The ICPD took into account issues such as "satisfying individual's unmet need for contraception, promoting informed choice, involving men in reproductive health, securing contraception supplies and ensuring accessibility…" Full text.
